There's not much of anything on which to base an argument of safety advantage, for either side. Ash's chip, so far, looks like it yields slightly higher hp #'s than the JWT. That's fine, but it's hardly a sole reason for purchasing Ash's chip; any cookie-cutter ECU will leave SOMETHING to be desired. If you're really hardcore about performance and/or safety, you need to tune it specifically for the car. JWT has a longer track record, granted...but by this point I think a lot more credit should be given to the reliabity of Ash's chips than is currently given. He has a significant number out there now; if the chip was a fluke it would have been revealed by now. That's just logical. And despite some past questionable remarks/statements by Z1 on the forum (that really had nothing to do with customer-service), I think most members here would say that Z1 stands by their products, that they take care of their customers. I don't understand this nonsensical downcasting of Z1's products, particularly the ECUs. I can understand if you think they are assholes, and I'm not gonna say that impression wasn't deserved. So call them assholes or whatever suits you, but it's pretty ghey to knock their product (in essence, spreading false information, or at least information with no convincing evidence) when there is really no proof (or even suspicion, in all reality) of it being an inferior product. To nismo805- call all the vendors you've heard about and talk to them directly. Look up technical info; search the forum for info and history, then buy what you're comfortable with. None of them are bad ECU's- just stay off of Ebay. -Rob
